    Subject: Japanese Art

    Materials Needed:
    · Paper
    · Pencils
    · Color pencils
    · Oil Pastels
    · Projector
    · Smarboard

    Procedure:
    1. Ask students to choose a place the best way to draw their pictures
    2. Distribute paper. Pencils and oil pastels to students
    3. Students will sketch pictures in pencil
    4. Making sure that students use the whole page students will then add flowers to their base
    5. When students complete their sketches, they will add color. Beginning with the branch and using different shades of brown.
    6. As a last step students will add cherry blossoms to the branch. They will use different values of pink to add a depth to each flower.

    Evaluarion

    Students will add their work to an art gallery and will display their work. They will take a gallery walk and evaluate each others work. They will look at the art elements: lines, form and shape. To wrap up student will read their connection to Asia essays .
