It was fantastic to have such an amazing reunion with the gang. Albeit, too short, it still gave us a soupcon of the fun we had and rekindled dormant sparks among our kindred interests.

Realizing Clay's thread was about instructions, I figured let us have a holding area for the plans, documents, links, etc., presented this weekend so we can share our talents with the group. This is inspired by Jen's comments that she has listed tidbits in a variety of differing forum areas.

Here's hoping this gives us another point of gathering, musing, supporting, importing, and distilling educational brilliance to the myriad children we instruct. After all, was not that the over-arching goal of the benefactors who blessed us with their gifts so that we may share ours with future generations?

Of course, with this realization, I am struck by the fact that my plans are stored on my computer at school. So I may not be the first to post a plan, but at least we all know where to go to find them in one thread. "The best laid plans o' mice and men. . ." to quote Robert Burns.

Happy trails, much success this year and here's to this weekend NOT being the last of reunions for our group.

    Sincerely,

    Kyle

I have attached my edited lesson plans. If they seems sparse, I have not pdf'ed the attachments yet. (Is that a verb?)

The daily writing prompts vary based on my classes.
    For example with Confucianism:

What authorities advice do you follow blindly?
    or
Who is the master to whom you turn for wisdom?

    For Taoism:
What aspect of nature influences you the most?
    or
When did going with the flow yield better results than you expected?

Discussion one day prompts the future writing topics to get each day started, settle the class and begin a new round table of opinions as we explore.

Any input you may have is cordially welcomed.

Well said Kyle! Here's one of two lesson plans I prepared for the project. At some point I will scan the extra materials into PDF format and attach them.

Here is the unit plan I presented at the reunion weekend regarding the legacy of imperialism. Feel free to use and/or adapt as you see fit.

Thanks for the great ideas, everyone!
