For my lessons, I did a two day lesson comparing Mao and Confucius (first day, a focus on reading and comparing/contrasting the two, and the second day involves taking this information, writing an argument, and discussing it in a Socratic Seminar) and a third lesson covering the Tiananmen Square Incident.
