SpectatorHi Folks,
Several members of the crew have completed draft versions of their websites. You can visit them and offer much needed feedback. Each needs some retooling, either on technical matters or in expanding/revising the content to make them more effective. I have written separately to each of our creators. A couple of the efforts are simply stunning.
Shari Campbell (Shari's looking at World War II atrocities)
Darlene Ockerman (Darlene's students will be exploring the Nanjing Massacre)
Portia Rivera (Portia's building a tool for her departmental colleagues to use with their students as well.)
Cheryl Tchir (Cheryl's looking at the first emperor and the Qin impact on China.)
Rochelle Terry (Rochelle's also uploaded the site to another server and has already been using it to good effect with her students. She's done a beautiful job.)
You'll note that several members of the group have not yet submitted their websites. It's time to get busy on this! Please note that at least two individuals who began the seminar as our most timid webmasters have produced workable sites! The trick is to figure out what you want to communicate and then to get busy doing it. [Edit by="Clay Dube on Mar 28, 12:02:47 PM"][/Edit]

GuestI received my lesson plan and suggestions on Friday and left for a 3 day meeting at LAX for CTA. I am leaving for Spring Break 4/5 and will not return until Easter. I will be there the 18th, but will not have the correctons done by then. Sorry. DWO

GuestThank you so much for the view of the websites on Tuesday. I have to admit that I was very inspired to get back to mine right away. I will be reviewing the completed draft versions this weekend to see in more detail what they were all about. Since I have just started my unit on China and will be heading into Japan this may give me the perfect opportunity to try my webmaster skills out with something my students' might be able to use now!
P.S. Thanks for the Chinese dinner! -
