Panic combined with preparation for attack sounds like a disaster. Does this require attention? -Yes. This relates very much to the CIA document about a multi-polar world. Very likely it would be a good idea to get China in on the pressure. China has had nuclear weapons for some time and would also be hurt by an EMP. China would be hurt by an EMP over the U.S. as we are very important trading partners. Also following South Korea's lead on this wouldn't hurt either since they are also the easiest victims of North Korean aggression.

This article is very for voting. The idea that one small slightly backward country could destroy us is more than horrible. I do not know how much of it is true and how much of it is exaggeration or paranoia at the moment im not sure if i really wan to think about it.

The following article talks about the threat North Korea represents to national security:
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/dec/19/north-korea-emp-attack-could-destroy-us-now/

Apparently, North Korea has developed destructive technology that is making us a little nervous about its potential use against the U.S. Korea has developed a ballistic missile capable of reaching the US and delivering nuclear weapons. The threat of N. Korea to the US became more evident after they were able to launch and orbiting of a satellite on December 12.

Some argue that North Korea poses little threat to the United States and we should not go on investing millions of dollars to prepare for a potential missile attack by them. However, others believe that North has famished its people to channel more resources to develop weapons of mass destruction. North Korea has been able to miniaturized nuclear weapons to put in ballistic missiles and deliver them to the united states.

Should we panic and prepare to attack North Korea?

I agree that North Korea posses little threat to the United States. I am optimistic that the new leader of the country will bring about change. However, in the mean time, I think the U.S. should be very careful in its handling North Korea. For example, the country should not be clumped together with other nations or given any label, like president George Bush did several years ago.
