Hi, y'all:

This might be a little late considering we have Buddies tomorrow. I plan to have the 8 buddies groups create bookmarks or brochures similar to what Heather had her students make. My 7th grade buddies work with 3rd grade buddies, FYI. In each buddy group there are three to four students, each headed by my 8 advisees.

If anyone else has done that sort of activity, please chime in.

I found a book in my collection called, Stories from the Silk Road. This may be helpful in showing how ideas spread. I use my doc reader to share it with the class.

David, I will be teaching 6th grade for one more year, so we will be teaching the same thing. Since we are in the same general area, we may want to get together and share our resources. I'm going to gear some of my project toward 7th grade as well. I will be looping with the smae group of kids for the next three years.
