GuestMy name is Reyna Kauil and I teach World History and Latin American Studies at Alliance Stern MASS, it is a math and science charter high school on the Cal State LA campus. This is my first year in the teaching profession and I am so excited to have access to curriculum and learn to incorporate East Asia in my World History class. I have had discussions with my principle about teaching Asian American Studies or Ethnic Studies next year, so the content I learn at this seminar will definitly be put to use in the near future. I am a Trojan Alumni and am excited to be back on campus learning about ancient China. Looking forward to collaborating with you all!

GuestHey I'm Harpreet (Harp) Sidhu and I teach 9-12th grade English at all levels at Arleta High School in the SFV. I'm taking this seminar primarily for the LAUSD salary points...but I do see great value in possibly learning more about Chinese literature. I took and very cool Classical Chinese Literature class in my undergrad studies and I loved the poetry and short stories. I love teaching about literature from different cultures, so I hope we get a chance to be exposed to that writing.

GuestI am Tasha Phillips an Elementary Resource Specialist Teacher. I service 5th and 6th grade students in English Language Arts and Math. Although, this seminar is about East Asian History, I believe the reading and writing aspect is very much tied to ELA.
