Here is a link to help teach East Asia in the classroom. It is designed to give resources to help educators in the k-12 classroom incorporate more lessons about East Asia. I especially liked this particular link: http://www.colorado.edu/cas/tea/curriculum/imaging-japanese-history/
First of all, I love incorporating art into my lessons, I love allowing students to interpret different meanings. This page pulls up different art projects with lesson plans to go along with them. I appreciate that you can click on any of the art projects and all of the resources you will need to teach the unit will appear:

The website may be geared towards educators in Colorado, but I think you can absolutely use the lesson plans in your classroom. It appears they also have a lot of "artifacts" on hand for you to borrow if you need them for your classroom - which is a drawback for out of staters! Regardless, they have a page that links to many different resources:

You can probably find just about anything you need to here and they have many links to other curriculum about Asia in the classroom. The website is straightforward and has a lot of great resources and lesson plan ideas. I encourage everyone to check it out!
