"The second article on the freeing of slave girls was also quite provocative. Particularly since the author chose solely to criticize women who were exploiting women. Does this seem more like class criticism than a call to justice for women/ slave girls?"

I'm not totally sure of the distinction between the two, but I read it as a call to justice through the prism of a kind of class criticism. You?[Edit by="price on May 15, 4:03:08 PM"][/Edit]

"I have posted a series of photos that lead to a restaurant in China, if you make it to the restaurant, the food is free. Look at them in this order 1. tram to trail 2 first step 3 opposite traffic 4 toe hold 5 getting closer 6 free lunch! enjoy"

OMG! Where is this restaurant?! As a foodie, I thought I had gone to great lengths to get great food, but I see I was mistaken! I would say, "The food better be good!" but since it's free, I guess I can't really say that![Edit by="price on May 15, 4:03:26 PM"][/Edit]

I love this class. Today in my 8th grade US history class my students were learning about the Chinese coming to the US to mine for gold and work on the railroads. One student asked about communism in China and I was able to actually answer. Thanks to this class I was actually able to answer. I told them all about the percentage of communists and how it was really intense to actually be part of the communist party and how if I sponsored you you better behave or we'd both be in trouble. One of the first times I really felt like a history teacher because I was able to answer something that was about a totally different time period, a totally different culture etc.
