South Korea is so cutting edge. I find their focus on education to be such a great teaching point; as I am constantly looking for ways to motivate my students.

After this lecture I understand North Koreans' drive to risk their lives and cross three borders as I learned by watching the documentary Crossing Heaven's BorderText. South Korea's advancements in technology, livelihood, opportunity and development would attract anyone to migrate to the country. South Korea just has so much to offer. I'm afraid of the tension between North Korea and South Korea and our countries pressures/influences I'm sure don't help things. This lecture allowed me to see the "people" and not jut the label... thank you.

Dr. Jung-Kim's lecture on modern Korea was very informative. Her use of the pictures also made the lecture come alive far more than her previous one. I found the fact tht Korea is the most Christian Asian country interesting. This makes sense when you see the amount of Churches in LA with Korean writing on them. This never made sense to me before.
