The blood has been washed away, the the tank and APC tracks on Tiananmen Square, Changan and other surrounding streets have been patched, and the bullet marks on the oblesk Monument of the Heroes of the Revolution in the square and other buildings around Beijing have all been covered over, but the aches, pain, and anger in the hearts of millions of chinese people still remains. Some Chinese patriots are in jail now after 20 years for the events in June 1989!

For secondary teachers interested in sharing the event with their students, I would like to recommend two books and a video; " Bejing Spring" by Melissa Liu et al. and "Children of the Dragon" published by HRIC [Human Rights in China] and the video I would highly recommend is "Tank Man".

I would also highly recommend "Beijing Coma" by Ma Jian and "Prisoner of the State" Zhao Ziyang. [I will post a more detailed review shortly].
