GuestOk, this is one of my best articles which recounts the major Asia Pacific Geo-Political events starting from the Russo-Japanese War through the attack on Pearl Harbor. History simply isn't written any better. This is from the pages of the International Harold Tribune, 1995. Please observe all copyright laws. I included a picture from the Web of the Russo Japanese War to add interest for the kids (but the picture is probably copyright protected too. nb

GuestOk, this article is in honor of Clayton because he mentioned one of my heros, Homer Lea in his last lecture. Homer Lea, for those of you who don't know him, predicted in 1912 or there about, the coming war between Japan and USA. He was a military genius who because of his deformity was often overlooked (literally.) Anyway, this is a great article from the pages of the International Harold Tribune. GuestHere is an excellent article, no really excellect article, on how religion colors how people see the same event differently. This article really is a current event, its on the Tsunami and compares how Buddhist, Hindus, and Muslims all view the disaster differently. Fantastic article for middle school through AP World History. I can't remember whether the article is from the LA Times or New York Times, but in either case, please observe all copyright laws and regualtions. nb

Really a useful article for the higher grades and AP from the New York Tiimes on how Taoism, Buddhism, and Confuciusims comes together to create the Chinese cultural experience and heritage. GuestHere is another great article from the New York Times called the Bogus Biography of Mao. From the heading you can guess that its an expose of the the false history of Mao...the making of the myth if you will. Very valuable article for critical thinking. GuestThis is an article from the BBC on China's firewall, called Wangguan or "net wall." This article is non technical and accessable to middle school grades through high school.
