    Internet East Asian History Sourcebook

This website gives you access to a variety of information. Categories include Chinese, Shinto, Confucianism, Daoism, Buddhism, Christianity, Imperial China, Traditional japan, Korea, Western Intrusion, Japan as a world power, China´s disaster 1840-1949, China since WW II, Japan since WW II, Korea since WW II, Other East asian countries, East Asian genders & sexualities (bounded & unbounded feet).

This website appears to be filled with information but the most impressive portion/section is Western intrusion. This website is like a one stop shop where you can find out information regarding different philosophies as well as WW II. I believe this website is complete with the different subjects/categories covered.

"The Chinese established their first community in Los Angeles at today's El Pueblo Historical Monument. By 1870, a population of about two hundred had settled in the area known as Calle de los Negros, parallel to today's Los Angeles Street across from the Garnier Building. They were farm laborers, servants, road builders . . . . ."

This website is great for teaching Immigrant experience form one ethnic group’s perspective. The website has a time-line of Chinese American in Los Angeles and their contribution where students can draw parallels from other immigrant groups experience.

Online exhibitions from the following website is excellent. It enables students to discover on their own History of China, relating to Trade, Arts, and other topics.

My favorite is the “Interactive” Timeline of History of China from 5,000 BCE to the Present Day.

The following website provides background information on Islam in China. This articles mentions a woman name Yang Yuhong who is an imam with the Tai Zi mosque. Female imams are respected teachers, but they do not lead the men in prayer. There are 200 certified female imams in this area. The article mentioned the Hui were the least orthodox Muslim; until their students would go to the Middle East countries to study Arabic and Islam, they would return more as more fundamental Muslims.

Teaching students with special needs, it is important for a teacher to realize not all students learn the same way and accomodations are necessary for these students to learn a lesson.
I came across a website from a teacher who teachings special needs students as well as some links to other sites providing information on teaching the different schools of thought.
