HI Everyone. I'm Maggie Burr and I teach ELD IV and a reading class at Bowman High School in Santa clarita Valley. Bowman is a continuation high school so I'm always looking for great readings to keep the students interested. I have been to S. Korea and Hong Kong and found them both so interesting that this class will help me learn more and provide great information and reading materials to my students. Look forward to getting to know all of you.

Since I am literally up the road from you at Golden Valley, I will let you know if I find great ideas to share, and I hope you will do likewise. Since you have a more transient population, it will be great to find items you can stick with. But then, keeping it current engages your population.

I have some stories from my text that I will try to scroll through after I get my grades in Tuesday.

    Hi Guys,
My name is Elizabeth Onyango. I teach Social Skills to High Function Autistic students at Grant High School, I teach French as an auxiliary and I am also the department chair of the Special Ed. Department.

I have enjoyed re-visiting China and and East Asian Cultures so much in the few classes I have attended with all of you.

I am glad that a friend convinced me to take this class. It has rekindled in me the desire to expand my knowledge beyond my classroom and family - as has been the case for so long with my children needing attention in their formative years...

I will look for the lists of stories when I get back to school. I wish I had brought it home to help construct my lesson plan.
    See you Tuesday.
