GuestHello,
Kelly Hoover here and I need to let you know that I'm a male Kelly before the accommodation assignments are made. I regularly receive junk snail mail and emails to a Ms. version of me.This coming school year will mark my 20th year as a teacher at San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, CA.
Danville is in the East Bay Area. SRVHS has been my first and only teaching assignment and I did not start my teaching career until I was 33.This Fall I will be teaching geography, world history and psychology. I love teaching and working with teenagers and now I look forward to working with the Summer Seminar group.
I'm also up for running in morning.
Thank you

GuestRand,
You will never be able to accuse me of being a "front-runner"! I will give consideration to going to the Dodger game. Being from the Bay Area, there is no way I will root for the Dodgers! I am a Giant fan and would be willing to pull for the Padres on that particular night.
Go Bears!

GuestKelly, I was pleased read that another teacher from the Bay Area would be at the seminar. I grew up in Rodeo which is just northwest of San Ramon (You probably knew that!). I will be sure to bring my running gear. Look forward to meeting you.

GuestSteven, Howdy...Welcome!
I am an information junkie...you have had some really great opportunities that I would like to chat to about. The Model U.N. at the college level was once considered the most sophisticated simulation games in the world.... the Secretary General for this Sim earned 8,0000.00 a year.( in the 70's). All of the elite schools( Harvard , Duke, Yale) would get the Big 5 Powers ( U.S. , Russia, Great Britain,....) My school was not among them. It was held in New York every year...we would spend time with the Ambassadors, diplomats from different countries & actually meet at the U.N. I am looking forward to meeting you & others in this cohort in the next few days... It is a great opportunity for all of us.

GuestHi, my name is Anita Short. I am teacher at a civilian school located on the Marine Corps Air Ground Gombat Center (MCAGCC). I teach 5th grade and am the GATE certified teacher responsible for GATE planning, the enrichment program after school and GATE field trips. The name of my school is Condor, so we are named for vultures, go figure. I look forward to Monday, but have to admit I am a little dubious of navigating LA traffic again, since MCAGCC is located in 29 Palms.
