Like most online news sites, CNN has a section dedicated to Asian news. Much of what we are trying to do as teachers is to relate Asia to our curriculum. This can be done by drawing parallels to our culture with events in East Asia. On numerous occasions, Clay would bring up issues that are happening in China or Japan and it was related to the US in one way. For example, Clay mentioned the summit that occurred in Beijing. During the meetings, the leaders of China and Japan met and shook hands. This tension can be applied to world history and the war both countries faced. This could also work in any government class to show the political tensions that occur with foreign affairs. The CNN site is constantly updated and provided a search option if you wanted to look up a certain country or event. If you are looking for any info on East Asia, this is a great source.
