Daoism is a Chinese philosophy that urges people to find their individual way. Daoists believe in the balance among all things (yin/yang). Daoists believe that people are fundamentally good.
Although I was sad not to attend the Saturday seminar, I found it somewhat curious that I had been chosen to be part of the Daoist cohort. Way back in the 6o's I do remember reading one of many popular little Lao Tzu "handbooks" of sorts- little self-help journals that one could keep in their pocket for instantaneous advice for as to how to handle the stressors of every-day challenges. The ideas were kind of "laid back" and easy to grasp ahold of "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage..."
