As I was trying to thaw out this morning, I saw an article that caught my eye. In the L.A. Times today, I read an article about how China is suffering through their coldest winter in THREE DECADES. The unnatural cold has decreased the amount of vegetables and fruits and has also killed off livestock. Prices for food have skyrocketed and inflation has also risen because of the weather. Unfortunately, Chinese New Year, which comes next month, is also driving up demand for food in a country that already spends 20% of their income on food alone.
