    In the California World History standards imperialism in China is in the standards, so the the Great Leap Forward.

    I have had a heck of a time finding a good source for history standards related to China and low and behold I found a link to USC China Institute.

    Also AP World history covers a lot of China's history. In fact my kids have a saying, "When you are unsure of an answer, pick China!" Lol.
