This site explores the art and cultures of Imperial China, Hindu and Buddhist from South Asia, the great temple and palace complexes of Southeast Asia, and the art and architecture of Korea and Japan. Dr. Beth Harris and Dr. Steven Zucker (Smarthistory) collaborated with many leading art historians and museums to create hundreds of short engaging conversational videos and articles for this site. It's an accessible, extensive resource for the study of the history of art. I would recommend using this tool in an Art History or History class. I plan to use it in my History class this year.

Thanks for posting- I really like the language used at this site. It is engaging, student friendly, and hardly "bookish". I think my students will enjoy using this resource for curriculum projects and cross curricular activities. There is talk about metamorphic rock (where jade is found) and discussions of ancient peoples and cultures. The site is very easy to use. There is a nice video of a master calligrapher writing a poem. This resource is quite rich.
