Welcome to the Kids Web Japan website. It is easy to navigate and contains tons of information. This website can be used to introduce Japan and Japanese culture to younger students. Sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA), this site is one of the most kid-friendly, interactive, and informative sites I have come across. Click on Virtual Culture to get information on Sumo, Judo, Japanese box lunches, the history of the Kimono, etc. There are also other tabs such as Folk Legends, Explore Japan, and "What's Cool" (to look at and learn about current fads popular in Japan). I recommend this site highly! Your students will not be disappointed.

The folk legends is something I can use with my young students! It contains a pictures with animated characters in which the teacher reads the story. The language is very easy for young students to comprehend. This website has great links to discover more about the Japanese culture. Thanks for sharing!
