This is a great website to introduce how power and status was expressed through clothing and badges in Imperial China. Students will be able to use this site while doing research for their own art project on designing clothing, or objects that contain symbols of Chinese power. If you have students go to the "flash module" it is easier to see how it is organized by animals. I found it interesting that each animal represented a different status or occasion. Check it out. It's pretty interesting!
