I was lucky enough to have attended last year's lectures with Professor Yamashita, but we didn't get cool readings/articles such as these. I am pretty sure that I can use these materials for world geography class. Thanks again for great resources!!

In my seventh grade World History class I was able to give my students information about Japan that was presented to us in the readings and the lecture. My students were really able to make the connection of Japan when I showed them the map of Japan, China, and compared it to the East Coast. We also discussed their technological advances. I was suprised and proud to hear that they were able to name many brands that come from Japan. They were also fascinated with their use of technology. My next step is to show them some pictures of Tokyo.
