This is a great website for a short video you can click on that shows and explains the Silk Road; how it got it's name and how it connecting the Eastern and Western worlds. It will be a great starter video to introduce the Silk Road and silks attraction in the ancient world to my students. I will use this video and then go into the Dung- Huang caves and all the Buddha art along the Silk Road and how Buddhism was spread. It is easy to use and will spark a great interest in students. This website has other great history short videos, too. Enjoy!
