I would like to know moe about the different Chinese races. Are there hostilities between these groups.

I really enjoyed learning about China's four major philosophical traditions. The history, staying power, and influence of these ways of thinking and behavior gave me a better insight of China and its people. I'd like to teach the basics of Confucianism, Mohism, Daoism, and Legalism to my students and have them compare/contrast these ideals to the different forms of government such as democracy, socialism, communism, imperialism. I could tie this into the novel 1984. Anyone have any ideas?

I also enjoyed learning about the four major philosophies and how they influenced China's history. When discussing some of the philosophies during the British Literature class, I will try to use this new information to bring up comparisons and discussions.

There were many good resources mentioned during the presentations that I want to explore and find a way to use in my classes such as the book The Wild Swans and To Live by Yu Hua. I also want to check out the movie Legend of Shang Yang and Little Buddha.
