During my visit to the Asia Pacific Museum in Pasadena, I had the opportunity to learn and see more of the art. I bought a Asian Zodiac calendar in hope to inspire students to learn more about East Asia.

I visited it this last week and I loved the Japanese literati art and the Tibetan art. I really need to study India now. My mom went as well.

Upcoming events for kids of all ages include Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese brush painting, yoga, tai chi, haiku, music and dance. Has anyone taken their class to this museum? I would like to plan a field trip to this museum next school year. I'm very excited about this museum and for the opportunity for learning it offers students of all ages. I am equally impressed with USC's commitment to further manage and partner with this museum.

Today, I went to the Asia Pacific Museum in Pasadena and truly enjoyed it. I saw pieces of art work from China, Japan, India, and other places. The museum had amazing bronze, wood and cooper artifacts. There were definitely a large number of Buddha images, some were of the siting Buddha. In one of the rooms they were showing a video of how pottery is made today in some Asian countries and the amazing art they draw on the ceramic and clay pieces they make.
