KSCPP is an organization that promotes Korean culture and history. They are active not only on the web but in the various countries. Their office in Los Angeles is located in Koreatown.
The website offers publications in book form, ebooks, and audio. The Multimedia tab offers videos about the 50 Wonders of Korea, Korea Today, and Tourism. The Wonders videos are fantastic! The Korea Info tab offers Material for teachers to use ranging from history to culture. It also has information about Tourism and Useful Links ranging from history, museums, magazines and culture. Navigating the site is very easy, just click on the tabs or hover in order to see what they offer. I really like that some of the publications are pdf downloadable.
Besides getting lesson ideas, the multimedia tab is a gold mine. The videos are short 5-10 minutes and very visual. This is a great way to grab the students' attention when introducing a lesson. Combined with a good lesson plan that includes a worksheet and activity this is a surefire way to help students understand Korean culture. I will be visiting and using the videos with my students from this site.
