I have enjoyed using Columbia University's Asia for Educators website (linked above). It has proven useful for accessing lots of good primary sources (which are available in downloadable PDF's), several excellent lesson plan ideas, and good essays that examine the cultural, social, political, and economic life of East Asia in various historical periods. I have used this sight in preparation for my classes, and I have directed students to the site to aid them in their own research. HIGHLY recommended - I think that it ranks as one of the top historical sites that I have encountered.

GuestWow! What a coincidence...I found this website too and did a review on it. Didn't you love how the kid friendly section had so many topics to explore? With our students' varied interests, it is important to have variety!

Students have access to various technologies. It includes interactive games, blogs, and etc. One of the many purpose for this website is for students to explore other cultures especially cultures from Asia. Students can read various stories from Asia, learn about various arts & languages. I can definitely incorporate in my lesson plan of the Asian arts and stories they mentioned within the website for students art lessons. Also there are lesson plans for both parents and teachers.
