Thank you, May. I've seen this before, but I need to check it out again to see if there is anything appropriate for third grade students to explore when they have computer/research time in class.

I chose to look at the website Double-luck.org. This website is full of information about Lu Chi Fa. He is the author of Double Luck, his memoir and the owner operator of a coffee shop in Morro Bay, California. The great thing about Lu Chi Fa is that he loves kids and letting people know his story. He likes to go to schools and speak about his experience and information on China at that time.
The first category of HOME tells the story of his life and where he is now.
The second category APPEARANCES shows his appearance schedule. He speaks all over and does book signings.
The third category is PAY IT FORWARD. This tab allows you to see the scholarship he sponsors and the causes he supports.
The fourth category is REVIEWS. This tab lets people share their thoughts on his book and their experiences
The fifth category is TEACHER RESOURCES which is a lesson plan that follows the book. Every two chapters It has activities and questions.
The final category STUDENT RESPONSES has the reactions of students and questions that they are curious about.
This web site is a great companion to the book, but also allows you to find out information about him and phis story as well as schedule a time to go see him speak.
